Northwest Missouri State traveled 9 students to this tournament this weekend. Six of which attended a tournament for the first time this season!

Twenty schools attendended this event at University of South Dakota State, including University of Ohio at Miami. Hastings College, Gutavus Adolphus College, Creighton University, Mcneese State University. Concordia College, and Minnesota State University-Mankota.

University of South Dakot States honored their longtime forensics and debate coachs Dr. Joel Heflings by hosting a tournament before he retires at the end of this year.  Dr. Heflings former students who helped host this event are also some of the best coaches in the nation (see above colleges listed.)  Dr. Hefling has become a well respected forensics figure for years and is invovled with Pi Kappa Delta and the National Forensics Association.

Nine of the schools were ranked in the top 20 at one of the three national tournaments last year.
